Helsinki City Running Day postponed to early autumn due to Coronavirus

The Finnish Athletics Federation is postponing Helsinki City Running Day to early autumn due to Coronavirus. On March 12th, 2020 the Finnish Government has announced that all the events with more than 500 participants will be cancelled until end of May, 2020. In alignment with this recommendation, Helsinki City Running Day originally scheduled for May 16th, 2020 is postponed to early autumn 2020.

-We are following the recommendations of the public health officials and authorities and will announce the new date as soon as possible, says the Race director of Helsinki City Running Day, Harri Hänninen.

All registered runners of the 2020 Helsinki City Running Day will have their registration automatically moved to the new race date. We will inform you as soon as we know more.

Helsinki City Running Day consists of 6 different events in one day: Garmin Helsinki City Marathon, Helsinki City Run half marathon, ECCO Helsinki City 5, Helsinki City Marathon Relay, Helsinki City Double and children’s Minimarathon.
